Requests for official Oldham County criminal records must go to the government office that created or keeps the file. This private site cannot retrieve or correct records. The contacts below route court files to the clerk, police reports to the responsible agency, booking material to the jail, and statewide checks to Kentucky State Police.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot obtain official records, perform an official background check, accept an expungement filing, or change a government record. Contact the responsible public office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Oldham County records are split by office and by the agency that created them:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal history and official checks: use Kentucky State Police, Criminal Identification and Records Branch

  • Sheriff-created records: contact Oldham County Sheriff, 100 W. Jefferson Street, Suite 2, La Grange, 502-222-9501
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report

Court copies and certification go through the Oldham Circuit Court Clerk at the Oldham County Judicial Center, 100 W. Main Street, La Grange, KY 40031. The Circuit line is 502-222-9837, District Traffic is 502-222-0522, and published weekday hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oldham County Police records use 1855 N. Highway 393, La Grange, and 502-222-1300. A request sent to the wrong office may be returned because that office is not the custodian.
